The Nauticam Atomos Flame housing supports the Atomos Shogun Inferno and Shogun Flame as well as the Ninja Inferno and Ninja Flame external recorders and monitors. This housing is equipped with an HDMI 2.0.
The enclosure offers an unobstructed view of the excellent 7" screen and provides access to the main touchscreen functions via buttons on the underside of the panel.
Problem-free installation
Installing Atomos Shogun or Ninja recorders couldn't be easier with the Nauticam Atomos Flame housing. The monitor simply slides into place and is secured with three rotating latches. The back of the monitor is fully accessible, making media and battery changes quick and easy.
Built-in cooling
The processing power required to record professional video formats is enormous, and this workload generates heat. Shogun uses a cooling rail to dissipate heat in the air and to ensure normal operating temperatures in the water. Therefore, the Nauticam enclosure uses two active fans. These fans distribute the heat across the back of the enclosure where it can be effectively transferred into the water.
The cooling system is powered by a dedicated Sony NP-F550 battery that provides approximately 12 hours of operation on a single charge. An LED light and external switch allow the fans to be switched on and off from the outside of a sealed enclosure.
The Nauticam Atomos Flame housing supports all Sony NP-F batteries with the exception of the NP-F970 and Atomos NP-960 as they are too large for the housing.
Vacuum testing and leak detection system
The Nauticam vacuum testing and leak detection system and vacuum valve are included as standard in the Shogun enclosure. This monitoring system provides constant updates on the watertight and safe condition of the enclosure. A simple coded LED lighting system indicates to the user that the vacuum is tight or that the enclosure is losing vacuum. Leak detection is integrated into the same circuit so that an audible and visual indication is given in the event of water Ingress.
