The Nauticam NA-C70 underwater housing
Nauticam has long been producing industry-leading housings for cinema cameras and has used this experience to develop the most advanced underwater cinema system housings.
Taking advantage of the C50's small form factor, the Nauticam NA-C50 is ultra-portable while still providing full access to the camera's important functions. Regardless of where a button or dial is located on the camera body, Nauticam engineers place great importance on ensuring that access to that control on the housing is intuitively placed so that no shot is missed while searching for a button or dial. nbsp;
Professional premium optics
Optical performance is just as important as that of the camera, and this becomes even more important given the challenges of filming underwater. The Nauticam NA-C70 uses the same N120 port system as the previous N120 cinema housings, allowing for a seamless transition for those looking to upgrade or add an additional camera to their range. While this system offers exceptional glass optics and flat port solutions for a wide range of EF and RF mount lenses, its true performance can be realised with Nauticam's water contact optics. This range of dry and wet lenses has been developed using commercial lens design software to achieve truly unparalleled underwater image quality for both photos and videos in macro and wide-angle situations. The WACP-1 and WACP-2 achieve an ultra-wide 130° field of view with reduced distortion compared to conventional optics and offer a minimum focus distance of ~0", full zoom range and unbeatable corner sharpness even at wide apertures such as F5.6. The SMC-1 and SMC-2 macro wet lenses, when used with the Canon 100mm F2.8L macro lens, offer 2x and 4x magnification respectively. The SMC-1 even delivers an image with higher contrast and greater sharpness than the 100mm lens itself can achieve in air without magnification.
