Best features
The Sea&Sea underwater housing is equipped with the Handgrip plus, SA8 ball head adapter and Leak Sentil XB moisture warning system.
- Equipped with new silicone handle inserts for a firm and solid grip as standard. Silicone composite material implanted in the handle to provide a firm grip.
- SA8 Fixed Ball Bases are now supplied as standard with MDX-L series housings.
- Leak Sentinel XB, which measures the atmospheric pressure inside the housing even on land, is now a standard accessory alongside the traditional built-in leak sensor. Two alarm sensors are available for your safety.

Compatible with the YS optical covertor S1
Compatible with SEA&SEA "Optical YS Converter S1" which converts the camera's electrical flash signal into LED light and synchronises it with the SEA&SEA YS underwater flash. It is a powerful converter that not only emits simple light-emitting signals, but also takes care of TTL automatic üb.
* The Sony original adapter "ADP-MAA" is required separately for the connection of camera and optical YS converter.
Combined buoyancy/battery compartment
With the "Buoyancy Pocket" (*1) the downforce is reduced by approx. 240 g (*2). The pocket can also be used as a place for an additional battery pack (*3).

Compatible with all DX (NX) series ports
The camera can be easily removed from the body even when a large diameter lens such as the SEL1635GM is mounted on the camera without removing the port from the body, allowing you to easily replace the battery and lens.
Special features:
- The "port lock" prevents the port from rotating or loosening, and the port lock lever is specially positioned to prevent accidental unlocking.
- The housing is equipped with a lens release button that allows for easy lens replacement without opening the housing.
- Pulling out the focus/zoom wheel provides enough space inside the housing to accommodate larger diameter lenses with ease.
- The camera's diopter adjustment knob can be operated from outside the housing. This feature is useful when two or more people with different eyesight are using the walker.
- All control elements have luminescent stickers that glow in dark surroundings.
- Fitted as standard with the 0.5x optical viewfinder. Other optional viewfinders such as the VF180 1.2x, VF45 1.2x and the optical viewfinder 0.66x, 0.8x can be used.
- When the VF180 1.2x is mounted on the housing, the upper part of the camera's viewfinder cannot be viewed due to vignetting.
- The 2-pin sync cable connector allows the use of a conventional hard-wired sync cable (only in manual mode).
- Equipped with two sacrificial zinc diodes (one on the front and the other on the Rück side) to prevent electrolytic damage.
- The built-in leak sensor warns you immediately of water ingress.
- The tripod screw attachment is located on the middle bottom of the housing.
- Equipped with an underbody protector to protect against scratches.
